Feline Leukemia Virus in Cats(FeLV)

A retrovirus causing immunosuppression, lymphoma, and anemia. Spread through close contact with infected cats (grooming, shared food bowls).

  • Secondary infections due to immunosuppression

  • Fever

Causes

  • Contact with FeLV-infected cats
  • Mother-to-kitten transmission
  • Transmission via saliva or blood
