Polycystic Kidney Disease in Cats(PKD)

A hereditary condition where multiple cysts (fluid-filled sacs) form in the kidneys. Particularly common in Persian-related breeds, progressing to chronic kidney disease.

  • Autosomal dominant inheritance (PKD1 gene mutation)
