Eye discharge in cats refers to any abnormal secretion from the eyes. While clear tears can be normal, yellow or green discharge often indicates an infection such as conjunctivitis.

Watery eyes (epiphora) in cats occur when tears overflow excessively. This is commonly caused by a blocked nasolacrimal duct or eye inflammation that triggers overproduction of tears.

Swollen eyes in cats involve puffiness or inflammation of the eyelids and surrounding tissue. Infections, allergic reactions, and injuries are the most common causes.

Cloudy eyes in cats appear as a white or hazy film over the eye surface or lens. This condition may indicate corneal disease, cataracts, or uveitis, all of which can affect vision.

Squinting in cats — narrowing one or both eyes or blinking excessively — is often a sign of pain or ocular discomfort.
