Pancreatitis in Cats

Inflammation of the pancreas. Chronic form is more common in cats with subtle symptoms. Known to co-occur with IBD and cholangiohepatitis as 'triaditis.'

Causes

  • Idiopathic (often unknown cause)
  • Infections
  • Trauma
  • Drug reactions

Prognosis

Mild cases have good prognosis, but severe cases or triaditis can be difficult to manage.
